This one begins more than 200 metres inside a coal mine.

A flooded mine in Croatia, rails disappearing into the darkness and almost no visibility.

Ticks don’t wait for “spring”.
They wait for temperature and opportunity.

After every walk we do the same:
– hands-on check of the whole dog

Portugal trip? Harness + GPS worked fine. Back home? Mrok began to hesitate when we reached for the harness.

So we ran a no-drama test:
harness in one hand, simple collar in the other. He chose the collar. Swapped hands. Chose it again.

Now our setup is boring and light: Garmin collar + added D-ring. Not anti-harness — just pro “ask the dog.”

On Rügen, we traded the wild mood of the Obra River for beech forests, chalk cliffs, and the sound of waves. Mrok trained every day: walking on long lines, sleeping in a tiny tent for the first time, running beside the bikes, and waiting patiently through endless herring breaks (we couldn’t resist).

It’s not a guide. It’s a piece of our life — cycling, camping, and learning to move as one team.
