Good gear doesn’t draw attention. It just works - quietly, reliably, when it’s needed.
In this part of the blog, we share what we actually use while travelling, camping, and living on the road - together with our dog, Mrok. These are things chosen not for how they look in photos, but for how they perform after days of dust, wind, and rain.
Some have been with us for years. Others failed after the first - or the next - trip. Here, you’ll find both: the ones that earned their place, and the ones that didn’t. No unboxing. No hype. Just what works - and why.

What you see here isn’t a photo shoot setup. It’s our real camp - shaped over time, adjusted to our needs, tested across thousands of kilometres. Every item has its story and its place. Later, I’ll explain why Monika set up the kitchen exactly there. And if you like sleeping under the stars, I’ll tell you why the rainfly is off our rooftop tent.
You won’t see that detail in this photo - but don’t worry, just look for the rooftop tent article. We don’t review gear. Neither does Mrok 😊 We live with it.
